Disability Service Plan
The publication of the Disability Service Plan (DSP) 2022-25 (PDF, 437.67 KB) remains current to 2025, noting that Local Government and Planning content is no longer the responsibility of the Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW). As a result of Machinery of Government changes in November 2024, the function of Procurement is now the responsibility of DHPW and Procurement actions are included as Addendum 1 of the HPW DSP.
Our plan describes the actions we will take to deliver services and products that are inclusive, uphold the human rights of people with disability, promote choice and participation, and address barriers people with disability may experience. The DSP aims to improve access to the department’s services for people with disability, including more coordinated responses with other agencies and stakeholders.
This plan aligns with Queensland’s Disability Plan 2022-2027: Together, a better Queensland and Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021–2031. The alignment of the strategy and plans aims to drive targeted actions to improve the lives of people with disability.
